Left Side Stomach Pain

- The peripheral nervous system consists of nerves outside the brain and spine. There are 31 pairs of spinal nerves and many types of their branches.
The peripheral nerve, the hypogastric, divides into three branches.
- A branch for the stomach as well as the duodenum with pain felt above the waist.
- A branch on the small intestines in the center of the abdomen, with pain felt below the waist.
- A branch towards colon, the bigger intestine, with pain felt inside the lower abdomen.
Individuals left side stomach pain from the lower abdomen, it may indicate a problem inside the descending colon. Cancer or inflammation with the descending colon make a difference the wall on the abdomen. It is this irritation that produces the abdominal pain left side.
